Homespun Devotions Giveaway!

I love using devotions with my quiet time with God so when I got the opportunity to review Cheryl Smith’s latest book Homespun Devotions Volume, I was thrilled!

Cheryl shares these devotions that are from her blog Homespun Devotions which she started many years ago. This is Volume 1 of Homespun Devotions and I enjoyed reading her writings in book form. I found her devotions easier to read in her book than online because my eyesight isn’t as good as it was in my younger days.

Each devotion has a scripture from from King James Bible but of course you can read the scripture from whatever version you’re most comfortable with.

Then you read an easy to read devotion. One such devotion on page 89 called Forgotten Benefits with the verse found in Psalm 103:2 ” Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”

In this devotion Cheryl shares the importance not just to pray but to thank the Lord for answers to our prayers and to see His hand at work through answered prayer.

Cherylbis giving a way a copy of Homespun Devotion to one blessed( I don’t believe in luck!) reader of this blog. To enter just share in the comments below what your favorite devotional is. If you don’t use a devotional share about how you spend time with the Lord.

Deadline for entries is 11:59 Arizona Mountain time on October 13th. Winner will be announced Thursday October 14th Lord willing.

I can’t wait to see what you all share!

  1. I currently am involved in Community Bible Study where we are studying the book of Daniel, but I’ve also been using the online devotional from She Reads Truth for several years now. I enjoy that they use many scriptures and it’s all within context! I would love to get Cheryl’s book.

  4. Sometimes I use a devotional, and others I focus on reading through the Bible. I also have prayer time and work on my Scripture memorization during my quiet time.

  5. I am using several devotionals – one is the Bob Gass series distributed by our Chtristian Radio Station, and one a compilation by various New Zealand women. This sounds as though it will be a fabulous blessing to the selected commentor
