Its been very hard to tame my fingers when responding to someone’s trolling comment on Instagram. It usually happens when I’m reading accounts belonging to parents of special needs children. The trolls are vicious and I can’t help but respond unkindly to them.

Closing thoughts
Early in my post I shared of my trouble with not taming my fingers on Instagram. I confess that I have the same issues with YouTube. However with YouTube my problem is being a party to gossip about people in the news or some political thing which in the past I’ve always avoided. I am finding that some of the channels I watch have no redeeming spiritual value and are not pleasing to the Lord. I have made the decision to unsubscribe from these channels. I know they won’t suffer because most have reached their one million subscriber mark.

So I found out on IG that April is Christian Book Month. I had no idea that such a thing existed.
I want to share three books I probably won’t finish this month but will be part of my spring reading. I apologize for the size of the photos . I haven’t figured out how to shrink photos.
The book I’m currently reading is Daughters of Eve/Daughters of God by Brenda Weaver
The front cover description says:Inspiration for women desiring to grow in godliness. This is something I struggle because I truly want my life to glorify God but I often fail and then I feel defeated.
Next is A Woman by God’s Grace by Anna Mary Byler which is part of The Godly Woman series. This book’s back cover description: “Anna Mary Byler spells out the practical aspects of this life. On page after page she calls wives and mothers to consider the graces that crown mundane responsibilities with resplendent success and eternal satisfaction.” That description alone makes me think about how much I complain to the Lord about about cleaning my home, running errands etc. Mrs. Byler has at least two other books in the The Godly Woman series. “A Woman for God’s Glory” and “A Woman From God’s Perspective”.
Last is Flourish by Dorcas Showalter. Her front cover says: A journey to abundant hope in marriage and motherhood. Though I think Flourish is written to younger wives and mothers, older women could benefit from this book too. All three books are available at Christian Light Publishers. http://www.clp.org
I hope you find some good Christian books to read this month. Whether it be fiction or nonfiction just enjoy reading. I do offer a word of caution when it comes to Christian books.
Please use discernment in what you read. There are many false teachers out there who should be marked and avoided. One way I use discernment is if a book I’m interested in is written by someone who has ever been or is labeled a false teacher I will research the author to find out why he or she is labeled as such. I usually go through these authors with “A fine tooth comb” if you will. Many times I had been dismayed at what I find out about some of these popular Christian authors.
So please do your research and check anything you read and see if it lines up with the Bible.
Hello my dear sisters! Someone asked about praying scripture and asked about praying Colossians 3:18 – “Wives submit unto your own husbands, as it is fitting unto the Lord”.
First of all you don’t have to pray the exact words, say amen and then you are done. Second your prayer should be directed by the Holy Spirit and may not be the same ad another sister.
So my prayer for Colossians 3:18 ( I’m getting into journaling my prayers) would be “Heavenly Father I thank You for giving me Tim as my husband for thirty-one years. I confess that I don’t always have a submissive heart and I will dismiss his ideas as foolish and silly though I never say it. I ask your forgiveness for that. Remind me through Your Holy Spirit as Tim’s wife to submit unto him as this is fitting unto You. I pray this in the Name of Jesus Amen
And that’s an example of how I would pray scripture. I encourage you to watch The Sisterita Club YouTube videos for more ideas for using your prayer Bibles to pray scripture.
First of I want to thank you all for praying for my daughter’s health. I’m so blessed to be a part of praying siblings.
I do need to ask for more prayer though. One of the managers at the store where my daughter worked shot and killed himself in his car in the parking lot of store a few weeks ago . He was towards the back near the paint store next door. His name was Shawn and he had just gotten engaged in December. Please pray for all his loved ones. We don’t know why he did this and it’s been very devastating so Kaitlyn has decided not to go back there. There have been grief counselors for the staff to talk with which has been helpful to them all.
Its been a trying time but spending time with our Lord in prayer and His Word has been so refreshing. I want to answer some questions on how I pray scripture in my next post.

Greeting my friends! I’m finally getting this post written.
As I said in a previous post I’m careful about following new trends that Christians, especially Christian women gravitate to. When I first heard about this and the idea of praying scripture over a situation my biggest concern was taking a scripture out of context. As a result I was very careful to read texts very carefully before I tabbed and highlighted it.
Suggested Supplies needed for your prayer Bible-
Bible of course. Jessica from The Sisterita Club recommended a compact size Bible because they are easier to take with you if you wanted to use it on the go.I didn’t have a compact size Bible but its smaller than my regular Bible as you see in the picture. I mentioned that Dollar Tree in a earlier post has Bibles for $1.25 though they might not have it in your preferred translation.
Highlighters of some kind. These don’t have to be fancy but you will need several colors for the various categories you will be praying.
Several tabs. You will need to use different color tabs for topics of prayer. If possible have them match your highlighter color. Its recommended you glue a legend in front of your Bible in case you forget what color is for what. You can use anything you want for tabs. I’ve seen ladies use washing tape, Bible tabs, and those garage sale price stickers. I used plastic paper clips.
Making your prayer Bible doesn’t need to be this expensive project. You use what you have on hand. If you feel the desire to buy supplies Dollar Tree is the place to go.
What I did for my prayer Bible
As you can see I used various color tabs
I used these plastic paper clips that were lying around unused.
My color coding system I used were for the paper clips and highlighting:
Blue-Peace
Pink- Biblical Womanhood
Green-God’s Provision
Orange- Spiritial Warfare
This isn’t my complete list but I think you will get the idea looking at the pictures. And I only took a few pictures .
Here you see I highlighted and tabbed a pink tab for Biblical womanhood Colossians 3:18. Also on the same page a blue peace tab Colossians 3:15.
I had this prayer card that came from Dollar Tree so I glue it to the inside
As you can see my prayer Bible is simply done. I dont have as many tabs as other prayer Bibles I’ve seen on YouTube. But that doesn’t matter. There is no wrong way to create your prayer Bible. What matters is you use them for praying Scripture over a situation , family friends, our nation etc.
If choose to make one you should watch Jessica’s videos. Her channel is called The Sisterita Club. She has lots of ideas for creating a prayer Bible and how to use it.
